Bobby & Bill and Donna's Dog Woody

The dog on the front of the site is Chris's dog Flanagan. The dog on the left was Bobby's dog.

Woody was Bobby's dog. He is pictured here at 14 years of age. We acquired Woody when Bobby died in 1992. Woody was five years old. He was an adoring, constant companion who managed to steal our hearts and comfort us in our grief. He especially loved the guys - after all, he lived with the guys for half of his life. Lindsay said he would take him to the park "to attract the women" - how could they resist - right?

Woody was our constant companion for eleven wonderful years. Woody died at the age of sixteen on January 27, 2003. We sent the following tribute about Bobby's adoring and loving Woody.

"The one absolutely unselfish friend that man can have in his selfish world, the one that never deserts him, the one that never proves ungrateful or treacherous is his dog! A man's dog stands by him in prosperity and poverty, in health and in sickness. He will kiss the hand that has no food to offer. He will lick the wounds that come in encounters with the roughness of the world. He guards the sleep of the master. When all other friends desert, he remains and is constant in his love. Today, January 27, 2003, we lost Bobby's faithful companion and friend."
